Meadow Soup is the creative venture of Lily Clay, an artist originally from southern England now living in Kirkintilloch.
Since moving to Scotland Lily has prominently been working with stained glass, a beautifully ethereal medium which changes its appearance in the light and casts colourful refractions across a space. Her practice also encompasses embroidery, illustration, painting and making soldered jewellery from recycled and found materials.
Much of Lily’s work is inspired by the natural world and folklore, with experimentation being a constant fixture in her creations. Each subtle variation in her designs, along with the use of different colours and textures in every piece, means that no two creations will be the same.
