Hello, I’m Justine, a self-taught jewellery maker based in Glasgow. Each piece I create is individually hand-painted, inspired by Scotland’s nature, seas, and skies. My designs feature vibrant colours drawn from immersive woodland walks, the calming sound of the tide, and the beauty of the skies at dawn, dusk, and night.
The sense of flow from these experiences is embodied in every piece, creating something magical and unique. When I feel stuck, I imagine someone enjoying my jewellery, which re-energizes me to overcome any hurdles.
For over 10 years, I’ve found joy in the flow experience of using metallic and glass paints. I first started by making cards and decorations for family, friends, and colleagues. Once the paint is dry, which takes 2-3 days, I apply a protective resin layer. This resin not only protects the paint but also adds shine and enhances the quality of the pieces. After the resin cures, which takes 3 days, I assemble the jewellery, attaching chains to pendants or making up the earrings. Each piece is then ready for you to browse in-store, reflecting the beauty and inspiration of Scotland’s landscapes.
