I live in Kirky where I design and create stained glass panels, ranging from small decorative pieces to large window and door panels. My most popular items include fused glass telephone boxes and hand-painted scenes of Kirky landmarks. I craft all my glasswork in my workshop at the bottom of my garden, ensuring each piece is uniquely handmade.
For traditional stained glass designs, I create windows, doors, and hanging panels. My process for fused glass involves using Bullseye glass, powders, and frits. I often combine fusing, enamelling, and silver staining techniques to achieve a unique look. Each piece is carefully crafted to bring out the vibrant colours and details that make stained glass so captivating.
In my painted glass work, I use traditional vitreous enamel painting and staining techniques to add intricate detail and depth. The panels are leaded and cemented using Heaps lead came for durability and quality. For the painted and stained elements, I rely on high-quality materials from Reusche, Prodesco, ATC, and the Stained Glass Guild to ensure a lasting finish. Whether it’s a small decorative piece or a large architectural panel, my goal is to create beautiful stained glass that enhances any space.
